La escuadra española maniobra dentro de la bahia para intentar cazar a los barcos americanos conforme lleguen. La diferencia de velocidades y los problemas en las calderas del Castilla y del Reina Cristina impiden que la linea de batalla quede bien hecha cuando llegan los cruceros enemigos.
Spanish squadron maneuvers inside the bay trying to chase the american cruisers one on one as they enter. The difference in speeds, and the problems in the engines of the Castila and the Reina Cristina avoid to form a proper battle line when the enemy cruisers finally came.

Aunque solo han llegado a la bahia el Olympia, el Baltimore y el Raleigh, es suficiente para dañar mortalmente a la escuadra española. En dos turnos de furioso tiroteo el Olympia es severamente dañado, pero el fuego americano es mas letal y pronto el Reina Cristina se hunde y le sigue el Castilla, junto con el Ulloa, el Juan de Austria y el cañonero Marques del Duero, y quedan solos el Isla de Cuba y el Isla de Luzón para intentar al menos rematar al dañado Olympia. Tras el hundimiento del Luzon, la escuadra española se rinde.

 Even that only the Olympia, the Baltimore and the Raleigh had entered the bay, it´s enough to deadly damage the Spanish squadron. In two turns of furious shooting the Olympia is severely damaged, but the american fire is deadlier and soon the Reina Cristina sunks, being followed by the Castilla, together with the Ulloa, Juan de Austria and gunboat Marques del Duero, lefting alone the Isla de Cuba and the Isla de Luzon trying to give the coup de grace to the damaged Olympia. After Luzon sinks, the spanish squadron surrenders.

Tras la batalla, he quedado francamente contento con nuestro reglamento. El combate se sentia realista, sin sorpresas extrañas. De hecho, mi escuadra lo hizo mejor que su homologa real, al dañar tan duramente al Olympia. El jugador americano no tuvo paciencia para esperar a sus unidades más lentas y se lanzó al interior de la bahia solo con sus tres mejores cruceros, lo que contra otro oponente podria haberle costado muy caro.

After the battle, I am really happy with our ruleset. The fight feel realistic, without weird surprises. In fact, my spanish squadron did it better than its real homologue, damaging so badly the Olympia. The american player did not have the patience to wait for his slower units, and throw inside the bay only with its three better cruises, a thing that against another opponent, could have been really risky.
